An alphabet writing project

I was encouraged some time ago to write about simple things, daily things, things that facilitate some degree of pause within my spirit. All around us, there is beauty, there are any number of compelling reasons to stop and to be still and to listen. It’s just that we almost never stop, almost never listen. And so we lose. Interest. Sleep. Curiosity. Wonder. Gratitude. Life ceases to be gift. We live in order to amass wealth, stuff, experiences. We live to work. We die with painful regrets. The cycle continues. We seem not to learn.

I’m sure I’m not the only one that could tell this story. But I know I need to write. So, I’ll be writing some reflections here - using the alphabet as azimuth. That’s a sophisticated way to talk about something simple. Hopefully, most of the time, I’ll be doing the opposite.
